Carbon Fibre iPhone Cases: Materials, MagSafe & Fit

Racing Series V2 iPhone case in the Suritt campaign

Updated November 2026

Some accessories change the way your phone looks. Others change the way it feels in your hand. A carbon-fibre iPhone case brings its own texture and visual character, but choosing well means looking beyond the pattern: material, edges, camera clearance and the exact device all matter.

Start with the material, not the label

A carbon-style print and a genuine carbon-fibre component are different things. Aramid fibre and Vectran are also different materials; their names should not be used as synonyms for carbon fibre. Read the construction of the exact case rather than transferring the specification of another generation.

Suritt’s Racing Series V2 uses a genuine forged carbon-fibre back, flexible silicone sides, aluminium details and a soft microfibre lining. The combination matters: the back provides the visual signature, while the edges, lining and controls have their own jobs.

What forged carbon looks like

Forged carbon has an irregular arrangement of fibres, rather than the familiar repeating woven pattern. That creates contrasts and differences from piece to piece. Choose it because you enjoy that finish, not because every case will reproduce one photograph exactly.

The Racing Series V2 direction is deliberately sporty. It can sit just as comfortably with a simple everyday outfit as with a more technical look. If you prefer the warmer surface of leather, compare Tanner for iPhone before deciding.

Protection is a construction, not a slogan

Racing Series V2 combines flexible sides with a raised aluminium camera ring, aluminium buttons and a microfibre interior. Check the photographs and product details to understand how the case surrounds your phone.

Avoid choosing on unsupported claims such as ‘indestructible’, ‘the thinnest on the market’ or a drop height that has not been documented for the exact model. A slim profile is a design choice, not a guarantee against every impact. A case also does not replace a screen protector or careful handling.

MagSafe: check the case and the accessory

Racing Series V2 has built-in magnets for compatible MagSafe chargers and accessories. This is different from assuming every thin case works equally well with magnetic accessories. Check the charger, mount or wallet’s own compatibility and fitting instructions too.

If magnetic charging is part of your everyday, make it part of the shortlist from the beginning. Compare the exact variant on the product page rather than relying on a description written for an older Racing Series case.

Choose the full iPhone model

Find the model name in your iPhone’s Settings. Include Pro or Pro Max where relevant. Similar screen sizes do not guarantee identical cameras, buttons or dimensions.

Racing Series V2 currently lists iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max options. Select the one that actually matches your phone and check availability. Older Racing Series models may have different materials, thicknesses, linings and device options: their measurements should not be applied to V2.

Buying and caring for your case

Before ordering, confirm the device variant, construction, MagSafe requirements and current delivery information. For cleaning, follow the care guidance for the case; do not treat the carbon back, flexible sides and lining as interchangeable surfaces or use aggressive solvents.
